Oil tank removal in Clemmons and Lewisville

Western Forsyth County is mostly newer subdivisions, but the older farmhouses and mid-century homes along the original roads often heated with oil. Those are the houses where a forgotten tank tends to turn up, usually during a sale or a heating system upgrade.

Rural lots, bigger tanks

Homes on larger lots sometimes had bigger tanks, 550 or even 1,000 gallons, set farther from the house. That can mean more digging, but open land also gives an excavator room to work, which keeps the job simple.

Wells and septic systems

Many homes outside town limits use a private well. If a buried tank has leaked, a well nearby raises the stakes, and soil testing under the tank becomes more important. Tell the contractor where your well and septic field are before any digging starts.
